Two Granada residents were among five people injured following a rollover in Jackson County on Tuesday afternoon.

The Minnesota State Patrol says a 2005 Jeep Liberty was eastbound on a snow and ice covered I-90 at 3:25 p.m. when it rolled just west of Jackson.

The driver, Mendoza Armando Magana, 38, and one of his passengers, Mary Yerania Magana, 37, both of Granada, were transported to a hospital in Jackson with non-life threatening injuries. A 17 year-old girl from Lakefield, Yakelin Magana, was also sent to the Jackson Hospital for treatment of what the Patrol report termed non-life threatening injuries.

Two other passengers in the van were transported to a hospital in Sioux Falls with life-threatening injuries.  One was a 67-year-old man, Anarbol Maldonado Magana, from Pasco, Washington, the other was a 54-year-old man, Raymundo Quiroz Rosales, whose residence was unknown. All occupants of the vehicle were wearing their seatbelts.
