The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources reminds firearm and muzzleloader hunters who want to harvest antlerless deer in a deer permit area designated as antlerless permit lottery this hunting season to purchase their license by Thursday, Sept. 5. Hunters who purchase their license on or before this date are automatically entered into the lottery for the deer permit area or special hunt area they declare. A 76-year old Rochester man was killed in a one-vehicle accident on I-90 in Faribault County on Wednesday morning. A 2005 Chevy Silverado was eastbound on I-90 in Jo Daviess Township near mile marker 117, when the driver lost control and rolled into the median. The accident, reported at 8:32 a.m., was responded to by the Faribault County Sheriff, Blue Earth Police, Fire & Ambulance. The victim's name will be released upon notification of next-of-kin.
