CREST is launching a Low Vision Support Group that provides reassurance and assistance to people living with vision related problems. You are free to share what’s bothering you and learn about ways to combat and/or live with low vision. You are not alone! Working together can make our lives much brighter. American Legion National Commander Paul E. Dillard is coming to Fairmont and will speak on issues of importance to Minnesota veterans. Among the topics Dillard plans to address are suicide prevention efforts in Minnesota, growing membership at the post level and The American Legion’s partnership with Chip Ganassi Racing. He will visit Fairmont American Legion Post 36 at 300 Downtown Plaza for a social hour, dinner and presentation on Wednesday, April 13, and talk with veterans, community leaders and citizens. The Martin County Fair Board announced they have entered into an agreement with Zac and Leah Gerhardt to become to the new Fairmont Raceway track promoters for the 2022 season. The Fair Board supports the Gerhardts in their decision to move racing to Wednesday nights and to choose the USRA sanctioning body that best supports that decision. In the 2022 season you will see an updated concession stand and better track prep equipment. With the updated track equipment race shows should run smoothly and timely.
