A Sherburn man was killed and a Sherburn woman was seriously injured in an accident involving a UTV and another vehicle Wednesday afternoon. The Martin County Sheriff’s Office, Sherburn Ambulance and Fire were dispatched to the scene at 3:41 p.m. approximately 3 and a half miles southwest of Sherburn. An adult male from the UTV was transported by ambulance from the scene and died en route to the hospital. An adult female from the UTV was transported to the hospital with serious injuries and later airlifted. Names of the individuals involved are not being released at this time pending family notification. The accident remains under investigation. The Minnesota State Patrol, Mayo Ambulance, and North Memorial Health Air Care also assisted at the scene.
