The Twins were blown out by the Guardians 13-4 to open their series in Cleveland. Joe Ryan was charged with the loss after allowing eight runs on 10 hits, including six home runs. Minnesota has dropped three in a row and will continue its four-game set tonight on KSUM with pre-game beginning at 5.
The Lynx extended their winning streak to six games after taking down the Storm 105-102 in Seattle. Kayla McBride led all scorers with 33 points and Olivia Miles added 32. Minnesota will visit the Storm for a rematch tomorrow.
The start of the NFL season is right around the corner. Training camps open across the league over the next two weeks. Vikings rookies are expected to report on Sunday. Veterans will arrive to the team facility next Tuesday.
Minnesota United FC returns to the pitch tomorrow. The Loons are visiting Sporting Kansas City. Minnesota is currently tied for seventh in the Western Conference with 22 points.
