SWEA CITY — A bomb threat at North Union Schools Swea City campus earlier this morning has been deemed non-credible. Superintendent Travis Schueller says officials were notified shortly after 8 a.m. that a student had texted another student claiming they were bringing a bomb to school in a backpack. Law enforcement responded within minutes, and Kossuth County Sheriff Roger Fisher says there are no safety concerns for students or staff. The student who made the threat will be referred to Juvenile Court Services. Additional information will be shared if necessary and Schueller says their top priority is always the well being of their students and staff.
