North Mankato - An Easton man has been sentenced to jail time and probation for threatening store workers at a local store in September. The incident occurred after the man, identified as 63 year old Steven Scott Gray, disputed charges on his account at the store. According to court documents, Gray initially faced a felony threats of violence charge but pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of misdemeanor disorderly conduct last week in Nicollet County District Court. BURNSVILLE- The Burnsville Community comes together today for the public memorial for the three first responders that died in a standoff earlier this month. The joint public service will honor the lives of Police Officers Paul Elmstrand and Matthew Ruge and Paramedic Adam Finseth. City buildings including City Hall, the Maintenance facility and multiple police and fire stations will be closed in observation of the memorial. EVERLY- Two juveniles are facing charges after a pickup crashed into two parked vehicles earlier this month in Everly. The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says the accident occurred around 10 pm on February 10th in Everly. After the initial investigation, it was determined a juvenile female had been driving southbound when a juvenile passenger under the influence of alcohol, grabbed the steering wheel and stepped on the gas. SPIRIT LAKE-Dickinson County authorities are currently investigating a shooting that took place on Tuesday afternoon. According to reports, the incident occurred around 3:30pm at an address northwest of Montgomery. The Dickinson County Sheriff's Office, along with other law enforcement agencies, responded to the scene of the shooting. S hortly after the incident, Lakes Regional Healthcare stated on its Facebook page that they had received a patient with a gunshot wound. However, they also clarified that the shooting did not happen on their premises. As a precautionary measure, the hospital initiated a lockdown to ensure the safety of their patients and staff. [...]

Wednesday afternoon a crash at the corner of State Street and Blue Earth Avenue in Fairmont sent one man to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.   According to a Minnesota State Patrol report, a 2010 Chevy Camaro driven by Jeffery Alan Heupel, 68, of Fairmont was attempting to make a left-hand turn onto Blue Earth Avenue when the vehicle was struck by a northbound 2018 Toyota Prius driven by Scott Lynn Tow, 70, of Fairmont.
