This note from Faribault/Martin County Community Health : We are sad to report we have another death in Martin County. An 80 year old who was briefly hospitalized due to COVID-19 prior to passing away.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported on Wednesday 761 new confirmed positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number in Minnesota to 77,085.
Seven additional deaths associated with the virus have been recorded, putting the state’s death total at 1,830. Deaths among cases that resided in long term care or assisted living facilities increased to 1,345.
As of 11am on Wednesday there were 297 people hospitalized statewide with the virus, 135 are listed in Intensive Care.
A total of 69,521 people have recovered statewide and no longer require isolation.
The Iowa Department of Public Health is reporting 740 more Iowans have tested positive for COVID-19 and 4 more have died from complications of the virus.
The new cases push the statewide total of Iowans who’ve tested positive for COVID-19 to 66,137. Of those, 48,015 are considered to be recovered by the state.
Iowans who have now died from COVID-19 related causes now total 1,125. Of the deaths recorded in the state, 604 were residents of long term care facilities. There are currently 31 outbreaks at Iowa long term care facilities.
There are currently 310 Iowans hospitalized who’ve tested positive for the virus, 87 of those patients are in the ICU and 39 are on ventilators.
