Community Health and Human Services of Faribault and Martin Counties reported 1 death associated with COVID-19 and 14 new confirmed cases on Tuesday, with all of the cases reported in Martin County.
The death was a person in their 70’s, who was hospitalized. That brings the number of COVID-19 related deaths in Martin County to 10.
The number of confirmed cases in Martin County is 341, with 74 active cases and 4 currently hospitalized.
The number of confirmed cases in Faribault County is 132, with 4 active cases and no hospitalizations.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported on Tuesday 513 new confirmed positive cases of COVID-19. The total number of cases in Minnesota is 91,422.
There have been 10 additional deaths associated with COVID-19, putting the state’s death total at 1,979. Deaths among residents that resided in long term care or assisted living facilities increased to 1,430.
As of 11am Tuesday there were 290 people hospitalized with the virus in Minnesota, with 136 in Intensive Care.
A total of 82,833 people have recovered statewide and no longer require isolation.
The Iowa Department of Public Health is confirming the deaths of 19 more Iowans from COVID-19 as well as the positive tests of 517 more individuals. The death of 19 more Iowans pushes the statewide death total to 1,285.
Of the Iowans who have died from COVID-19, 671 of those were resident of long term care facilities.
There are currently 285 Iowans hospitalized with COVID-19, 72 are in the ICU and 34 patients are on ventilators.
A total of 81,150 Iowans have now tested positive for COVID-19. Of those 59,164 individuals are considered recovered by the state.
