MDH posted the 14-day case rate today for the period of 9/6 – 9/19. The rate remained the same as last week in Faribault County at 8.64 and increased to 40.57 in Martin County.

Last week 625 COVID-19 tests were conducted in Faribault County and 1,107 in Martin County. Faribault County has a test positivity rate of 3.3%. Martin County has a test positivity rate of 5.9%. For comparison, the current state positivity rate is 5.3%.

MARTIN COUNTY HAS 471 TOTAL CONFIRMED CASES. 137 ACTIVE. 9 CURRENTLY KNOWN HOSPITALIZED. 323 RECOVERED.

FARIBAULT COUNTY HAS 152 CONFIRMED CASES.20 ACTIVE.132 RECOVERED.

WATONWAN COUNTY HAS 535 CASES. 16 ACTIVE. 1 CURRENTLY KNOWN HOSPITALIZED.. 515 OUT OF ISOLATION.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported on Thursday 1,066 new confirmed positive cases of COVID-19.  The total number of cases in Minnesota is 100,200.

There have been 13 additional deaths associated with COVID-19, putting the state’s death total at 2,049.  Deaths among cases that resided in long term care or assisted living facilities increase to 1,465.

A total of 89,980 people have recovered statewide and no longer require isolation.

More than 800,000 Iowans have now been tested for COVID-19, with 1,057 new individuals testing positive and 17 additional deaths being recorded in the state according to the Iowa Department of Public Health’s Website.

The number of new positive tests reported brings the total number of positive tests to 89,612.  Of the people who have tested positive, 69,550 have recovered.

The data shows there have been 1,358 total deaths from the coronavirus in the state so far.  Of those deaths, 701 were residents of long term care facilities.

As of Thursday morning, there were 407 hospitalized patients with the virus in the state.  Of those patients, 104 are in intensive care, with 33 of them on ventilators.
