The Minnesota Department of Health reported on Thursday 6,166 new confirmed positive cases of COVID-19.  The total number of cases in the state is 333,626.

There have been 92 additional deaths associated with COVID-19, putting the state’s death total at 3,784.  Deaths among cases that resided in long term care of assisted living facilities increased to 2,522.

A total of 290,019 people have recovered statewide and no longer require isolation.

The latest numbers from the Iowa Department of Public Health show a record high number of deaths reported for a 24 hour period, as 70 more Iowans have died from COVID-19 and 2,926 new cases have been reported.

The new positive COVID-19 tests reported for the time period brings the total number of positive tests to 236,792.

There have also been 2,519 total deaths from the coronavirus in the state so far.  Of those deaths, 1,097 were residents of long term care facilities.

There are 1,124 hospitalized patients with the virus in the state.  Of the hospitalized patients, 224 are in intensive care, with 131 of those patients on ventilators.
