Minnesota Health Officials reported on Tuesday 1,714 new cases of the coronavirus and 24 more deaths.

According to the Minnesota Department of Health 4,896 people have died because of the virus, a total of 3,176 of those deaths have occurred in long term care facilities.

A total of 401,011 cases have been confirmed in the state since the pandemic began.  Of those 376,354 people no longer need to self isolate.

The Iowa Department of Public Health is reporting the positive coronavirus tests of 1,276 more Iowans and the COVID-19 related deaths of another 64 Iowans.

A total of 269,020 Iowans have now tested positive for the coronavirus and the state considers 219,073 to be recovered.

The number of Iowans who’ve died from COVID-19 now stands at 3,653.  Of those who have died, 1,137 were residents of long term care facilities.  There are currently outbreaks at 133 Iowa long term care facilities.

As of Tuesday morning there were 651 Iowans hospitalized who have tested positive for the coronavirus, an increase of 12 patients from the previous day.
