Minnesota health officials reported 988 new cases of the coronavirus and 36 more deaths.

According to the Minnesota Department of Health, 5,196 people have died because of the virus.  A total of 3,351 of those deaths have occurred in long term care facilities.

A total of 411,110 cases have been confirmed in the state since the pandemic began, of those, 393,506 people no longer need to self isolate.

 

The latest numbers from the Iowa Department of Public Health show 67 more Iowans have died from COVID-19 and 1,475 new cases have been reported.

The number of new positive tests reported brings the total number of positive tests up to 276,948.  So far, there have been 3,812 total deaths from the coronavirus in the state so far.  Of those deaths, 1,138 were residents of long term care facilities.

As of Tuesday morning, there were 620 hospitalized patients with the virus in the state, up 34 from the previous day
