Minnesota Health Officials reported Wednesday 2,346 new cases of the coronavirus and 67 more deaths.

According to the Minnesota Department of Health 5,528 people have died because of the virus.  A total of 3,553 of those deaths have occurred in long term care facilities.

A total of 427,587 cases have been confirmed in Minnesota since the pandemic began in March.  Of those, 406,910 people no longer need to self isolate.

The Iowa Department of Public Health is reporting the COVID-19 related deaths of another 61 Iowans and the positive tests of another 2,785 individuals.

A total of 4,060 Iowans have now died from COVID-19.  Of those who’ve died, 1,139 were residents of long term care facilities.

A total number of Iowans who’ve tested positive for the virus since the pandemic began last March now stands at 289,464.

There were 604 Iowans hospitalized who’ve tested positive for the virus as of Wednesday morning, an increase of 22 patients from Tuesday.
