Minnesota health officials reported on Wednesday 1,504 new cases of the coronavirus and 50 more deaths.

According to the Minnesota Department of Health 5,774 people have died because of the virus.  A total of 3,693 of those deaths have occurred in long term care facilities.

A total of 440,354 cases have been confirmed in Minnesota since the pandemic began.  Of those, 419,139 people no longer need to self isolate.

The latest numbers from the Iowa Department of Public Health show 10 more Iowans have died from COVID-19 and 1,845 new cases have been reported.

The number of new positive tests brings the total number of positive tests up to 299,910.

The data shows there have been 4,232 total deaths from the coronavirus in the state so far, of those deaths, 1,715 were residents of long term care facilities.

As of Wednesday morning, there were 516 hospitalized patients in the state, a decrease of 36 from the day before.
