Minnesota health officials reported on Monday 564 new cases of the coronavirus and 3 more deaths.
According to the Minnesota Department of Health, 6,302 people have died because of the virus. A total of 3,972 of those deaths have occurred in long term care facilities.
A total of 468,682 cases have been confirmed in Minnesota since the pandemic began in March of last year. Of those, 454,290 people no longer need to self isolate.
The latest numbers from the Iowa Department of Public Health show two more Iowans have died from COVID-19 and 261 new cases have been reported.
The number of new positive tests reported bring the total number of positive tests up to 324,666.
The data shows there have been 5,110 total deaths from the coronavirus in the state so far. Of those deaths, 2,094 were residents of long term care facilities.
