The Minnesota Department of Health reports 27 more Minnesota residents have died of the coronavirus, raising the state’s total to 455.

The Health Department also reported 617 new confirmed cases, bringing the state’s total to 7,851.

As of Tuesday, 434 patients were hospitalized, with 182 of them in intensive care and the number of patients no longer needing isolation increased to 4,614.

The total number of cases reported in Martin County was 110 and in Faribault County the number of confirmed cases was 7.

The Iowa Department of Health reported 19 new deaths from the coronavirus, bringing the state’s total to 207.  It’s the state’s highest one day death total since the outbreak began.

The deaths occurred in Linn, Tama, Black Hawk, Dallas, Polk, Allamakee, Jasper and Woodbury Counties.

The Health Department also reported 408 new cases on Tuesday, bringing the state’s total to 10,111.

The total number of confirmed cases in Kossuth County is 2, while Winnebago County is at 3 cases.
