Minnesota health officials reported on Thursday 907 new cases of the coronavirus and 24 more deaths.
According to the Minnesota Department of Health 6,343 people have died because of the virus. A total of 3,996 of those deaths have occurred in long term care facilities.
A total of 470,803 cases have been confirmed in Minnesota since the pandemic began last year. Of those, 456,849 people no longer need to self isolate.
The Iowa Department of Public Health is reporting the deaths of 22 more Iowans from COVID-19 and the positive coronavirus tests of another 841 Iowans.
The number of new positive tests reported brings the total number of positive tests up to 327,255.
The data shows so far there have been 5,196 total deaths from the coronavirus in the state. Of those deaths, 2,121 were residents of long term care facilities.
