Minnesota health officials reported Tuesday 716 new cases of the coronavirus and 2 more deaths.
According to the Minnesota Department of Health 6,749 people have died because of the virus. A total of 4,241 of those deaths have occurred in long term care facilities.
A total of 498,926 cases have been confirmed in Minnesota since the pandemic began in March of last year. Of those 483,942 people no longer need to self isolate.
The latest numbers from the Iowa Department of Public Health show more than 413,000 Iowans are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. One more death was reported on Tuesday as well as 413 new coronavirus cases.
The number of new positive COVID-19 tests reported brings the total number of individuals who have tested positive up to 343,347.
The data shows there have been 5,642 total deaths from the coronavirus in the state so far.
