Minnesota health officials reported Monday 1,152 new cases of the coronavirus and no new deaths.
According to the Minnesota Department of Health, 6,782 people have died because of the virus. A total of 4,248 of those deaths have occurred in long term care facilities.
A total of 506,376 cases have been confirmed in Minnesota since the pandemic began in March of last year. Of those, 489,279 people no longer need to self isolate.
The latest numbers from the Iowa Department of Public Health show nearly 500,000 people have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in Iowa. One more Iowan had reportedly died from the virus and 138 new cases have been reported.
The number of new positive tests reported brings the total number of individuals who have tested positive up to 345,814.
The data shows there have been 5,675 deaths from the coronavirus in the state so far. Of those deaths, 2,225 were residents of long term care facilities.
