Minnesota Health Officials reported on Wednesday 1,323 new cases of the coronavirus and 9 more deaths.
According to the Minnesota Department of Health, 6,798 people have died because of the virus. A total of 4,254 of those deaths have occurred in long term care facilities.
A total of 508,541 cases have been confirmed in Minnesota since the pandemic began last year. Of those, 491,410 people no longer need to self isolate.
More than half a million Iowans have now been fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Meanwhile, the Iowa Department of Public Health is reporting 8 more COVID-19 deaths in Iowa and 766 additional positive coronavirus tests.
The number of new positive COVID-19 tests reported for the time period brings the total number of individuals who have tested positive up to 347,069.
The data shows there have been 5,683 total deaths from the coronavirus in the state so far. Of those deaths, 2,225 were residents of long term care facilities.
