The Minnesota Department of Health reports 24 more residents have died of COVID-19. The deaths reported on Wednesday raised the state’s total to 638. Of those deaths, 517 were individuals that resided in long-term care or assisted living facilities.
The Health Department also reported 431 new confirmed cases, which increases Minnesota’s total to 12,917.
As of Wednesday, 494 patients were hospitalized, with 109 in intensive care and 8,787 patients have recovered and no longer need isolation.
The total of confirmed cases in Martin County is 113. Currently hospitalized is 0. Covid related deaths still at 4.
In Faribault County the total of confirmed cases is at 8. Hospitalized number is 0. Covid related deaths is 0.
The Iowa Department of Health reported 17 new deaths from the coronavirus, bringing the state’s total to 306.
The Health Department also reported Wednesday 387 new coronavirus cases, bringing the state’s total to 13,289.
A total of 85,719 people have been tested and 5,954 patients have recovered and no longer require isolation.
No new cases were reported in Kossuth or Winnebago Counties.
