The Minnesota Department of Health reports that 11 more Minnesota residents have died of COVID-19, raising the state’s total to 1,197; 955 of the deaths were among cases that resided in long term care or assisted living facilities.
The Health Department also reported 338 new confirmed cases, increasing Minnesota’s total to 28,224. As of Monday 452 patients were hospitalized, with 198 in intensive care.
According to the Minnesota Department of Health’s website, the number of confirmed cases in Southern Minnesota continues to grow. Freeborn County has 185, Blue Earth County has 152, 137 cases have been reported in Martin County , 83 in Watonwan County has 83 confirmed cases and the total in Faribault County is 24.
The Iowa Department of Health reported 5 new deaths from the coronavirus, bringing the state’s total to 607.
The Health Department reported on Monday that the state’s total number of cases is 21,918.
A total of 192,949 people have been tested and 12,875 patients are recovering and no longer require isolation.
