The Minnesota Department of Health reports 20 more residents have died of COVID-19, raising the state’s total to 1,217; 968 of the deaths were among cases that resided in long term care or assisted living facilities.
The Health Department also reported 307 new confirmed cases increasing the state’s total to 28,253. A total of 24,221 Minnesota patients no longer need isolation.
As of Tuesday, 455 patients were hospitalized, with 199 in intensive care.
In Martin County there are now 140 confirmed cases. Active cases 10. Recovered cases 125. in Faribault County there are 24 cases. Active cases 5. Recovered cases 19. Currently known hospitalizations 3.
Watonwan County remains at 83 cases.

The Iowa Department of Health reported 15 new deaths from the coronavirus, bringing the state’s total to 622.
The Health Department also reported on Tuesday 259 new cases, bringing the state’s total up to 22,177. At total of 197,338 people have been tested and 13,277 patients are recovering and no longer require isolation.
A total of 82 patients are listed in ICU’s across the state and 51 were on ventilators.
