The Minnesota Department of Health reports 9 more residents have died of COVID-19.  The deaths reported on Tuesday raised the state’s total to 1,393; 1,101 of the deaths occurred in long term care or assisted living facilities.

The Health Department also reported 245 new confirmed cases, that increases Minnesota’s total to 33,469.

As of Tuesday, 339 patients were hospitalized, with 158 in intensive care.  State wide a total of 29,399 patients were no longer needing isolation.

Human Services of Martin & Faribault Counties have reported two new cases of the coronavirus in Faribault County for a total of 34.There are currently 10 active cases . Still 148 confirmed cases, 2 active cases and 141 recovered cases in Martin County.

Watonwan County has 166 confirmed cases. 63 active. 103 recovered and 4 currently known hospitalizations.

 

The Iowa Department of Health reported 2 new deaths from the coronavirus, bringing the state’s total to 688.

The Health Department also reported 299 new cases on Tuesday.  The state’s total number of cases is 26,346.

A total of 264,369 people have been tested and 16,432 patients are recovering and longer require isolation.

A total of 163 people remain hospitalized, with 47 patients in intensive care units.
