The recent poor weather contributed to two injury crashes on Interstate 90 in the immediate vicinity.
On Tuesday morning , a 64 year-old Indiana man was hospitalized after his 2004 Ford Explorer left the icy roadway and struck a guardrail on westbound I-90 at mile marker 100 near Fairmont. Randall Alan Yount, of Andrews, Indiana, was taken to Fairmont Medical Center Mayo Health System for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Yount was wearing his seat belt.
Thursday afternoon a one-car rollover on I-90 in western Faribault County, near mile marker 115, sent an Elmore woman to the hospital. 45 year-old Maria J. Dotseth was driving a 2005 Chevy Tahoe that went out of control on the icy roadway and rolled over. Dotseth was transported by ambulance to UHD in Blue Earth for care of non-life threatening injuries. Dotseth was also wearing her seat belt.
