A Fairmont man is facing a felony charge in Martin County after an alleged armed robbery. Gilberto Amaro Jr., 21, has been charged with one count of simple robbery, which carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine. According to the complaint: At 9:04 p.m. June 15, a Fairmont police officer was dispatched to speak with a man who described a robbery that had taken place at an apartment in the 1300 block of Johnson Street. The man said he was held at gunpoint by Amaro, whom the man said stole two gold chains and $60 from him.
