Thursday evening, June 15th, at 8 p.m., emergency personnel were dispatched to a call of a motorcycle accident on Lair Road in Fairmont. The accident report from the Fairmont Police Department states that a motorcycle headed east on Lair Road lost control, left the roadway, and hit a driveway approach two tenths of a mile east of the Lair Road and County Road 39 intersection. The motorcycle and rider were launched into the air, travelling approximately 150 feet before landing in a field. The wrecked motorcycle was located roughly 300 feet from the point of initial impact with the driveway approach.
The driver of the motorcycle, Nikolas Robert Flanagan, age 19 of Fairmont, was airlifted for medical treatment with suspected serious injuries.
