MARTIN COUNTY RECORDED A 90% VOTER PARTICIPATION RATE IN THIS WEEK’S ELECTION. 11,004 BALLOTS WERE CAST IN THE PRESIDENTIAL RACE IN MARTIN COUNTY WHERE THERE WAS 12,112 REGISTERED VOTERS BY 7 AM ON TUESDAY MORNING
MARTIN COUNTY REMAINED A REPUBLICAN STRONGHOLD. DURING THE VOTING ON THE PRESIDENTIAL BALLOT DONALD TRUMP RECEIVED 7,476 VOTES OR 67% JOE BIDEN’S 3,304 VOTES FOR 30%. FOR U.S.SENATE REPUBLICAN CHALLENGER JASON LEWIS GOT 6,703 VOTES OR 61% TO INCUMBENT DEMOCRAT TINA SMITH’S 3,348 VOTES OR 30%.
THE FIRST DISTRICT CONGRESSIONAL VOTE IN MARTIN COUNTY HAS REPUBLICAN INCUMBENT JIM HAGEDORN WITH 6.660 VOTES OR 61 % TO D F LER DAN FEEHANS 3,551 VOTE TOTAL OR 32%. FOR STATE SENATE JULIE ROSEN TOOK 81% OF THE VOTE IN HER BIG WIN. THE DISTRICT 23A STATE REP. VOTE IN MARTIN COUNTY HAD REPUBLICAN BJORN OLSON WIN WITH 7,260 VOTES OR 67% TO D F LER PAT BACON’S 3,501 VOTES OR 32 %.
