Martin County West in cooperation with the volleyball team parents is recognizing Thursday, October, 6 as “Fight Together” night. The initiative is designed to raised awareness of the fight against cancer, honor survivors, and remember those no longer with us. The event is a fundraiser for the Lutz Cancer Center at Mayo Clinic Health System, Fairmont, and the Martin County Relay For Life.
On Thursday all MCW students, staff, and community are encouraged to dress in tie-dye to recognize awareness for all forms of cancer. The theme is “When We Fight, We All Fight Together.” At the conclusion of the B squad match, MCW volleyball players will be introduced with a cancer survivor of their choice. All cancer survivors are admitted free to the game that night.
Fundraising events include a bake sale, silent auction, volleyball serving competition, T-shirt sales, and more.
For more information about the event contact Judy Traetow or the school office at MCW.
