State Representative Elect Bjorn Olson was recently elected as an Assistant Minority Leader for the Minnesota House Republicans for the 20121-2022 biennium.
Minnesota House Republicans always choose an incoming, or freshman, Representative to become part of their leadership team in order to help them develop policy and craft a political vision.  This biennium, Representative Elect Olson will serve the caucus in this capacity.
“I am humbled to receive this honor from my fellow lawmakers,” Olson said.  “We have a lot to accomplish during the next Legislative Session and I am ready to work hard and find common sense solutions to the problems being faced by residents in our District and across our state.”
Representative Elect Olson said some of the priorities this session include closing our budget deficit without tax hikes, combating COVID, and helping restore the economy and undoing the damage caused by the Governor’s shutdowns.
Olson was recently elected to serve as State Representative for Minnesota House District 23A, which includes all or portion of Watonwan, Jackson, Martin and Faribault Counties.
