EVERLY- Two juveniles are facing charges after a pickup crashed into two parked vehicles earlier this month in Everly.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says the accident occurred around 10 pm on February 10th in Everly. After the initial investigation, it was determined a juvenile female had been driving southbound when a juvenile passenger under the influence of alcohol, grabbed the steering wheel and stepped on the gas. The vehicle traveled southbound at a high rate of speed, ran a stop sign, and collided with a parked vehicle, which was pushed forward into the rear of another.

The juvenile females fled on foot but were apprehended a short time later. Alcoholic containers were located in the vehicle. The juveniles were not injured. They were issued multiple citations and released to the custody of their parents.
