The Martin County Board Tuesday during their budget discussion kept the proposed increase in the levy for next year at 6.43% for now but hope to have that whitttled down to 5% per cent by the time the preliminary budget and levy are approved at the Sept. 17th meeting. After that the levy can be decreased but not increased before final approval in December.

Approved and authorize Board Chair to sign the annual County Boat and Water Safety Grant Agreement in the amount of $3,112.00 – Martin County Sheriff’s Office.
Approved and accept low bid award for the Martin County Security Building Generator Replacement Project to DeWar Electric in the amount of $219,037.00.
Approved and authorize Board Chair to sign the State of Minnesota 2019 Capital Public Transit Facility Assignment of Grant Agreement (MnDOT Agreement No. 1035070) between the State of Minnesota and the Faribault-Martin County Joint Transit Board, per the terms of the Agreement.
Approved engaging with ISG Architects and Engineers (Mankato, MN) for the Design, Specifications and Bidding for reconstruction of the Martin County Courthouse Dome and Clock.
Received and filed the CY2020 Budget Allocation Request from South Central Minnesota EMS in the amount of $5,000.00.
Approved closure of the Courthouse, Highway Department, and Martin County Library on Tuesday – September 17, 2019 from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. for the Annual Employee Recognition Day Event.
