TWO GRANADA MEN WERE INJURED IN A TWO VEHICLE REAR END CRASH IN FAIRMONT JUST AFTER 2 PM ON TUESDAY AFTERNOON. ACCORDING TO THE MINNESOTA STATE PATROL REPORT A PICKUP OPERATED BY 83 YEAR OLD ROBERT EUGENE KESSELRING WAS STOPPED IN THE SOUTHBOUND LANE ON NORTH STATE STREET (HIGHWAY 15) AT THE STOPLIGHT ON 4TH STREET WHEN IT WAS STRUCK FROM THE REAR BY A PICKUP DRIVEN BY 84 YEAR OLD LEROY MARTIN RAHN OF GOOD THUNDER . RAHN SUFFERED NO APPARENT INJURY BUT ROBERT KESSELRING AND A PASSENGER 52 YEAR OLD ROBERT KESSELRING JR. WERE TRANSPORTED BY MAYO AND TRITAN AMBULANCE TO MAYO CLINIC HEALTH SYSTEM-FAIRMONT FOR TREATMENT OF UNDISCLOSED INJURIES. THE MARTIN COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE, FAIRMONT POLICE AND FIRE DEPARTMENTS ASSISTED AT THE SCENE.
