AN IOWA MAN WAS INJURED IN A TWO VEHICLE CRASH ON INTERSTATE 90 NORTH OF FAIRMONT JUST AFTER NOON WEDNESDAY. A VEHICLE DRIVEN BY 63 YEAR OLD ADRIAN LEE ULLESTAD OF SCARVILLE,IOWA ATTEMPTED TO TURN AROUND IN THE CONSTRUCTION ZONE BETWEEN CONES. A SEMI DRIVEN BY 29 YEAR OLD KENARD LONZELL KELLY OF MANSON,IOWA SWERVED TO AVOID THE TURNING CAR BUT STRUCK THE FRONT END ON THE PASSENGER SIDE AND WENT ACROSS THE MEDIAN INTO LANES CURRENTLY UNDER CONSTRUCTION. ADRIAN ULLESTAD WAS TRANSPORTED TO MAYO CLINIC HEALTH SYSTEM -FAIRMONT FOR TREATMENT OF WHAT WAS DESCRIBED AS NON-LIFE THREATENING INJURIES ACCORDING TO THE MINNESOTA STATE PATROL REPORT. KENARD KELLY SUFFERED NO APPARENT INJURY.. THE MARTIN COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE AND MAYO CLINIC AMBULANCE ASSISTED AT THE SCENE WEDNESDAY.
