An active case of tuberculosis is being monitored by Faribault and Martin County Community Health Services.
The bi-county agency says there is no widespread public threat of the bacterial disease.
Anyone vulnerable to contracting the disease are being informed by the Minnesota Department of Health and other local health care providers.
Community Health Services says if you haven’t been contacted by their office, you are not at risk.
Although there is no public threat, health officials are encouraging people who have been coughing for over three weeks or coughing up blood to seek medical care as soon as possible.
